My flatmate and I recently went to Westfield, a mall that just opened in London. All of the brand new glass, tile, and slick shiny surfaces reminded me of places back home. It also reminded me that I don't like crowds, I don't like malls, and I don't like shopping in crowded malls.
It was nice to be reminded, though.

I thought malls in England were illegal!!! LOL with all the lovely shops about why would anyone want to go to the mall?!
I agree. Also, you sounded very British - "lovely shops about".
